About Dr. Hassouna
Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Bassel Hassouna MD specializes in treating patients with Coronary Artery Disease, either through medications or through different kinds of procedures. He is triple boarded and is looking forward to providing his services at Heart and Vascular Institute in Wayne, Michigan.
Dr. Hassouna graduated from the American University of Beirut Medical School. After which he completed his residency and a fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology from the George Washington University Hospital in Washington D.C.
During his residency, Dr. Hassouna was inducted in the Alpha-Omega-Alpha honor medical society. He has been published in several journals and has given presentations in different medical meetings. After his fellowship, he practiced for four years in one of the major hospitals in Beirut where he was also the head of the Cardiology Department.
He is fluent in three languages (English, Arabic and French), which he hopes he will use in order to help him provide care to the highest number of patients possible.
